I was going to say to choose a salmon, or terracotta color but then you said you have different color tiles. What colors are in the tiles? Choose one of those colors for your walls.
I think a "paper bag" or "potato skin" color would look both traditional and modern. The color description itself might sound boring, but up on the walls it will make your cabinets look so much warmer and the black countertop look awesome.
