Where can I find information about the Zodiac Constellation Sagittarius?

I need some info for a paper and I am having a hard time finding it.Where can I find information about the Zodiac Constellation Sagittarius?
You could begin at wikipedia's entry for Sagittarius. It's not bad.

There is a good (short) explanation of the mythology for the name at

There is a nice picture at http://www.allthesky.com/constellations/鈥?/a>

The bluish glow near the horizon is light pollution from a town.

The yellowish band just below the red blotch on the right is part of the Milky Way, the light from the stars from a neighboring spiral arm of our Galaxy. In fact, if you look closely around the red blotch, you see that it is embedded in a darker cloud that sits in front of the band of light. That is interstellar dust.

Below the Milky Way is a group of 8 brighter stars that form a figure called the Teapot (an asterism is a group of stars that is not an official constellation).

From our light-polluted cities, the teapot is often the only part of Sagittarius that we can easily see.

Jupiter is presently just above the teapot (it is not shown on this picture, but you can see it easily these days, when you go outside as it gets dark -- to the southeast if you live in the northern hemisphere).

If you live south of the tropics (southern Australia, Africa, South America), then you'll have to turn the picture upside down.

While you are looking at the picture, note the menu on the left. Click on "Visual view with lines" and the teapot will be marked with lines.

Enjoy. Go outside and look at it. Use binoculars if you have them. Maybe it will inspire you for your paper (save a paragraph to explain how you found it and what you saw).Where can I find information about the Zodiac Constellation Sagittarius?

This is great freeware that you can download. It is an interactive star chart. Tell it where you are and it will tell you what you see. Ask it where something is and it will show you.

This is a start. You can ask where it is and it will show you.

This section is for Astronomy. We can tell you about the stars in the constellation and where and how to look at things in the sky. If you are looking for Astrology regarding the zodiac then you should ask your question in the entertainment section under the sub category of horoscopes.

You can also ask your question in the mythology section and you can find many different stories regarding this and many other constellations. Mythology comes from many different civilizations like the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians all the way to more modern day Native Americans.
