These are *very* basic. Each is much more than I'm indicating here, but I'm sticking to your question in that very basic form.

The Sun rules Leo. It represents you at "gut level." It also represents the father or one of the planets we consider in determining the man in a woman's life.

The Moon rules Cancer. It represents your emotions. It also represents the mother.

Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo. It represents communication and the mind.

Venus rules Taurus and Libra. It represents love, beauty, the ideal woman.

Mars rules Aries and is a co-ruler of Scorpio. In addition to war, it rules action, aggressiveness, and even sports. It's also representative of one of the planets we consider in determining the man in a woman's life.

Jupiter rules Sagittarius and is a co-ruler of Pisces. The keyword for Jupiter is expansion. It can also represent luck.

Saturn rules Capricorn and is a secondary, or co-ruler, of Aquarius. While it's said to be restrictive, this is the teacher, the disciplinary father in our lives. It's also representative of one of the planets we consider in determining the man in a woman's life.

Uranus rules Aquarius. If there is a definition of Uranus in its most concise form, I'd say "expect the unexpected."

Neptune rules Pisces. Its descriptions range from illusion and confusion to spirituality and imagination.

Pluto rules Scorpio. Its definition is most often connected to power, transformation, regeneration.

Hope that helps.
